While the 2020 pandemic spelled doom and gloom for many a musician, it signified a new beginning for Colorado based Americana Roots artist Andrew McConathy and his band, Drunken Hearts.The guitar-playing front man, lead singer and primary songwriter initially thought a worldwide calamity meant the beginning of the end to a career he’s pursued since 2010. Then an angel of mercy from his past emerged, giving him a second chance to make things right in his life and his songs. McConathy’s story of give and take, rise and fall, and hope lost and found gets the personal treatment on Reckless Ways of Living, Drunken Heart’s latest album released June 10, 2023.

Bonnie's first year at South Plains College was Taylor's last, and they are so grateful for that sweet overlap. They were both awarded Best Vocalist (Bluegrass: Male/Female) in the end of semester awards and the school assigned them a duet to perform -- they have been making music together since that night. After finishing school and getting married, Bonnie joined Taylor in Colorado and they began building their reputation on the Front Range in Bonnie & the Clydes while Taylor also continued touring for many years in his original project, Spring Creek. Playing countless live shows and festivals around CO and the Western US; tours to Germany, Canada and Sweden; multiple studio albums; exciting collaborations with other area musicians and hundreds of students through summer camps and private lessons soon followed as Bonnie & Taylor established themselves as a potent creative force of the vibrant Colorado music scene.

​Bonnie & Taylor Sims have recorded a killer new album with plans for a fall 2023 full release and singles will be released starting mid-June. This record is a collection of songs that define the new sound and new direction for Bonnie and Taylor in their unique western roots style. Songs that grew out of a shifting world marked by the juxtaposition of beauty and pain, hope and destruction. The album reveals a sound that blends bleeding pop rock with acoustic troubadour wit as the musicians explore and create together. Joined by bassist Bradley Morse and Kevin Matthews on drums this record is a refreshing showcase of seasoned songwriting, production and performances.
